WHY I STARTED ARKTIK

I started ARKTIK because of the impact ice baths had on my own life — not just physically, but mentally as well. Through cold exposure, I experienced a clarity and resilience that went far beyond recovery from training. It became a powerful way to reset, manage stress, and feel more balanced day to day.

At the same time, I struggled to access proper contrast therapy. Without regular access to a sauna, experiencing the full benefits of heat and cold together wasn’t easy. That gap made it clear how valuable contrast therapy can be — and how inaccessible it often is, despite how effective it is for both body and mind.

I want to create a space where both athletes and non-athletes could experience these benefits properly. Somewhere calm, welcoming, and accessible — where you don’t need to train hard or fit a certain mould to benefit. Just a place to slow down, reset, and feel better for it.

As I looked around locally, it became clear there was no dedicated contrast therapy space offering this in a considered way. ARKTIK was created to fill that gap — to bring the benefits of heat and cold to more people, and to offer a space that genuinely supports mental and physical wellbeing.
